See I think this looks good:

was like it when I got it though.

Could be worse, could be like what the previous owner done to the 106 I currently own!!

Notice the sticky pad bit, and the nice PUG logo! which has been removed since.

I keep the ford badge on the front and rear but the Mondeo, Ghia X and V6 badges have all been taken off looks much better :)

Looks daft. Makes it look like you have a 1.8 or something and pretending it's an ST24 :)

Left the badge on mine as I don't want people think I'm pretending to have a 540i Sport or an M5 (or a 520 :p)

I knew a guy at work who had a 518i bmw and took the badges off because he was embarrased about it.

Heres mine:

Personally I think it looks better

also if you have a fast car it provides a good way to make a sleeper, bung some 1.1 or 1.4 badges on :p (wish i had a sleeper :( )

I've yet to see any evidence that anyone cares about sleepers other than the driver.

I mean, if you pull up at the lights beside a totally stock looking 1.4 badged 306 GTi-6, how will you find out its fast? You are not exactly going to 'race' a stock looking 306 if thats your bag, are you? So you'd never know quite how quick it is.

the way I see it is when you over take them and they see the 1.4 badge and cant catch you :D

But given you'll soon be gone and you'll never know if they even noticed, whats the point :p

Where your badges with pride! :p

The only times I've ever seen a 'sleeper' is at Santa Pod where you don't really think "That astra belmont must be well slow!" .

I don't really care for de-badging, the only times I've seen it rife are on low spec 318s etc, even Merc drivers usually love showing the fact they have a C180.

I spose another reason for it would be to stop chavs from going "dat is a *squint* GTI ummm.. 6, that must be expensive lets key it innit"

:p lol pretty farfetched but it could happen...

And! it separates the real car nuts from the "badge readers":

Me: Thats a GTi-6 that is
Hawt girl: really! how did you know that theres not even a badge??!?
Me: ;)
Hawt girl: have my babies?
