Why do people not respect other peoples motors?

Think i'm one up there:
Starts with a can of self-expanding foam up the exhaust for giggles, they were there to do someone elses car but it wasn't there, spotted mine when they were turning round.
Had them on CCTV and found out who they were and where they lived within 2 hours, they weren't expecting that one. Cops still came back with "No further action"
Been away in Scotland over the weekend and left my car at the bottom of the street as the left over snow was still here and couldn't park my car, it now has a matching pair of scratches down either side of it. Guessing it's the same people.
Came across them last night in a car park, i've never seen someone crap themselves at the sight of me (not exactly a small bloke either), which was rather funny
They really did mess with the wrong group of people here though, they did around 7-8 cars on the same night, some rather nasty people too
