Why does vista check for a solution to a crash and then do absolutley nothing?

Take this up with Microsoft. Maybe you would like to work at Microsoft yeh? Let us all know if you ever get a job with them. Everyone on OcUK would love to see you develop such a high end os with no problems at all. We all await your new os yeh?

Not allowed to moan after spending a fortune on a piece of software, no?

you know, linux does actually work rather well...
if it weren't incompatible with programs i have to use regularly i really would use it 100% of the time.

In this area, Linux has the same problems that windows does - worse in some cases. Take X for example, it has been hacked about by different people over a lot of years and it really does not work all that well. Many parts of Linux suffer from bad organisation of developers and planning, this means that it can appear disjointed and interoperability between software on different distributions is always a problem.

At least if a program says it will run on eg Vista then it's 99.9% going to work unless theres a problem specific to your machine.
