Ok, so I have my 360 running on my 24" Digimate l-2442wd (OcUK sold these last year as their own brand) monitor (Normal VGA, console doesn't have a HDMI port), and the monitor's native res is 1920x1200 16:10.

However when I run the consolse in 1920x1080 it seems to be cutting off a large proportion of the image, surely this should just show with a small border along the top and bottom?

When I run in 1680x1050 it is fine, but has a large border on top and bottom.

As you can see, it's a very large amount of image being cut off:

Anyone know what the problem is ?

1920x1080 is a 16:9 aspect ratio.

therefore im guessing (from your photo) that your monitor is stretching the verticle height of the image (from 1080px to 1200px) and forgetting about the horizontal height, so the image is "falling off" the screen horizontally

i have no idea how to fix this, but this has hopefully inspired someone

Thanks for that, that appears to squeezed it all onto the screen (Never knew about the auto adjust button), however it's now stetching the image to fit and my squares are rectangles :p

I'll play around with it at different resolutions until I find the best setup.

Thanks again :)
