Why don't the bank leave me alone...

Oh really, how very magnanimous of the banks! I am given the option whether I want to be called at random by their sales people.

No. It is not that they should give us an option; they should ask for permission!

Tosh.

And you still didnt answer my question.

I think that attitude says it all.

I replied to your original post giving a reason why the onus is put on the customer, and asked how you would feel if x happened, and your reply was to ignore it.

My post had substance, and was seeking a reply, so the first instance of a worthless post, was by you.

If you dont want to be contacted, open your mouth, tell your bank, and stop moaning about the oh so terrbile infringment on your clearly precious time.

Ignore my post again if you like, I wont lose any sleep over it ;)

They obviously work differently to where I am, if you called then the member of staff you spoke to would put notes on your account so that any future calls could be resumed more or less from where they left it last time. I will happily give my name if there is a reason to, but most of the time the people who ask for your name are the arsey ones who think they are above you.

that is why I closed my halifax account and moved to somewhere where people do listen and act apon your needs. Like you do. I do not always ask now as I have built up trust with my new bank.

I always get the same thing when I go into Halifax, it does my head in so I just tell them I am in a rush and will think about it and pop back at the weekend or something. At which point they politely try and force me into booking an appointment.

It really does my head in,
