EDIT: He spends - how long? - researching all those figures, posting them on a website and properly referencing them and then he comes to the conclusion it's merely to do with probability - now that's delusional!

I am convinced that the situation can be readily explained in purely scientific terms, using nothing more than demographics and some elementary statistical calculus.

I would have thought it was something like this :

The number of "eligible" men chasing after women, between the ages of 16-50, grow as the population grows.

The number of women that those men are prepared to go for, between the ages of 16 - 35, grow as the population grows.

However, the problem is that those age groups don't balance out. Not counting the huge number of women who don't try to date because they are unfit for it or in fact just *think* they are unfit for it.

I had a thought the other day. Men are fertile for life. Women are fertile for about 1/3 of their life. No WONDER men are scrambling over the fertile women! Its a sick, messed up world we live in.

And women wonder they have been treated as commodities in less civilised societies. Because you *are* rare!

EDIT : I also think I may be a teensy bit mysogynistic :S

This worked succesfully for me, my geek side is all out in the open now and because she knows in not some kind of freak she actually realises how much more cool and interesting I am for it.

Didn't take long to convert her after that, we happily sit on the setee at night playing DS wireless linkup now.
