Why is it when i see a nice german car

I'm not racist but I had you down as Samoan as you look a little bit like The Rock. If you are Samoan do you know him?

I'm not samoan at all you racist. :p

No wonder you did racist stuff at the last meet such as chipping my windscreen (no i'm never going to let it go).

I'm actually half Chinese believe it or not.

Theres a guy here at the office who thinks i'm Maori and won't be told otherwise.

So, to answer your question Mr Racist - no I don't know the Rock.

:p

Do you know Jackie Chan then?

The windscreen wasn't my fault - stupid racist tyres :(

He's clearly got 11 wives and been paid 10k each to marry them and get them into the country!

How did you know that was the going rate?!

Like people have already said it's a show of wealth and the last generation all liked to roll in Mercs so it's no suprise this generation are exactly the same, although most take it to a higher level.

Lease hire is another reason.

Probably getting them out on finance via parents, and after a they get bored, or another Asian dude down the street gets the same/next model up, the cars suddenly go "missing".

Either that, or they do what they love doing around here - find one that's been smashed, get it repaired via backstreet garages, drive around in it. I've seen a CLS on broad street where the wheels looked totally wrong, the driver side rear had a ton more camber than the passenger side rear :\

Different cultures have different priorities. Some cultures place more emphasis on enjoying themselves and having nice things than others.

You have to ask who has it wrong - from where I'm sitting it seems like the Asians are having a great time and enjoying nice cars?

This sounds exactly like the vast majority of young Asian guys I know.

They are shallow to the point where it actually winds me up. It's all about having the best (by that, I mean the newest, highest trim level, most flashy) car possible - It being on finance and being driven on dodgy insurance doesn't matter one iota .

This is a bad thing?

Generally speaking, no.

But when you're fronting the insurance to the degree some of these guys do, it's an utter **** take. I know people who drive around with ID's belonging to their siblings so if they get pulled, they can happily use their details.

In Bradford, the choice of cars from the asians here varies.

Younger Generation go for: Seat Leon FR's/VW Golf TDI/Aud A3 TDI/Audi S3's.

But most are now driving the new C-Class Mercs/Audi A4's. BMW X5's, Audi Q7's, RR Sports.

You see the Odd M5/RS4/R8. Most are on Finance/Lease Hire.

How do you know if their on finance or leased, out of curiosity?

Because most can't afford to buy them outright cash. Otherwise they'd stick private plates on them. They rather have the car for 3 years and pay monthly on them, then give it back, and change car.

I don't see 18 year old's owning M5's or even Leon FR's considering the insurance on them.

Vita is talking about people he knows from his own community, I think?

It's not the sort of thing that just comes up in general conversation though is it. I know a lot of people with cars, I don't know by what method any of them have funded them though. It's still an assumption?
