Why is the 360 dash so slow to respond?

is it when you 1st turn it on or just normally

i can understand mine sometimes because im playing a game, streaming music, downloading in the background and looking at the guide tab

Don't have a problem with it.

Sure it's a little slow when you are gaming but come on, the dash is a secondary (if that!) task, of course it'll be a little slow! Would you rather your games lagged instead?

Both mine have been pretty instant working and switching. Ive never experienced lag at all apart from bringing up the side panel when gaming.
 
Agree the only time mine has slowed down slightly is when playing a game and i bring up the guide

Never bothered me and suprised its bothers you lol
 
It's a little annoying at times, but I've only found it really bad when you've just been playing a game and you've exited to the dash via the guide, and the game seems to continue to hog a lot of the memory.

You seem to be in a right arsey mood today. I was just curious as to why it was laggy. I wasn't looking for a fault and am happy with my 360 overall.

Edit: My apologies I get you muddled up with that guy with an almost identical name. My point still stands about "find[ing] faults".
 
I'll be honest, mine can be hit and miss. Sometimes it lags, sometimes it doesn't.

After or during a game it's bad (but expected), sometimes it does it when I'm simply on the dash, but I can honestly say it's nothing for me to get mad over.
 
sometimes mine lags and seems slow, i put it down to the fact that its accessing the internet to be able to show others gamescores etc.
