Just a general question really, just picked up 2 sony 19" displays as part of an insurance claim and finding them pretty good, no dead pixels and the feature list seems to be quite good for the price. The stand is a bit weird but thats it, just seems odd Sony are never mentioned, any reason?

They've always seemed very expensive when compared to other brands. That tends to be the deciding factor, for a lot of people.

I would agree to the above. Feature rich and excellent quality products in my experience but the price just lets them down.

I know what you mean, it's probably because OCUK don't stock them and they are overpriced :confused:How much did they set you back?

Any chance of some pics?

I just got the E series SDM-E96D 19" x2 at £167 each, so i cant see how they are that overpriced, i can see looking at some though that they are a bit pricey for the 19"'s but these just dp 1280x1024. I cant post any pics as im on my work hp 23" widescreen at the moment which im waiting to take to the office (as its not mine) so i can set up my dual screens.

the design of some of their range was pretty unique (their HS series was nice) but the price let them down. Sadly the performance did as well in many areas, and this is mostly attributed to unfortunate choices in panels. The HS95P for example was not a great performer despite high hopes from buyers due to the impressive spec on paper

I think they are way overpriced in comparison to other manufacturers, although I do like the styling of them. Still, when you can buy good screens from manufacturers such as Viewsonic for much less, why buy Sony? :)

vote 1 for pictures of the setup

Here you go, HP 2335 23" Widescreen in middle and 2x 19" Sony E series, only 1 connected up though. Need to sort it all out as its a mess at the moment.
