For the uninformed, why should the number/size of capacitors say anything about the quality of a product?

If I recall correctly a friend once told me larger capacitors in a hifi amplifier was a sign of quality, as it can regulate power better etc. So there you go.

its the materials and people or machines building them that make them either good quality or bad quality

isn't that the really old xbox360 mobo too ? sure ive seen one with less caps ? maybe the elite ?

its the size of the heatsink and quality of the case material and finish that make the ps3 "feel" like its quality not that it has less caps

Personally I think the design of the 360 is a lot more appealing and exclusive looking compared to the PS3 which is essentially a big black plastic box.
