I liked GW2, but you really can't compare these games they soo different, well besides both being MMO's.

Yeah I know what you mean.
It's a good game, just not good enough in my opinion to charge a monthly fee compared to those that are free to play.

Is it just me, or are the starting areas and quests in this game some of the worst ever? They must have put all their focus on end game.

I'd love it if we got an MMO that looks like GW2, feels like Vanilla WoW, has the action combat system like WS, and has the open-world/player built cities and crafting system of SWG.
 
What's the opinion on Warriors.. I've had a play up to level 8 and enjoyed it but I'm not going to have time to lvl much more to see what they are like later.

Are they any good in PvP?

They have snares/pulls/knockdowns and mobility, a recipe for roaming destruction :p

To be fair though, the general consensus from most forums is that all classes are as good as the person playing them. Ofc some are easier to use but most of it comes down to personal preference.

Warrior lvl 50 PvP - video is far too long though.

I'm torn between RP-PvE or PvP server choice but these make the open world PvP looks superb.

 
I played around 6 hours of this today, long time WoW player and holy **** it brought back amazing memorys im really enjoying it so i pre-ordered the digital deluxe edition i can't wait!
 
Being a long time since I seen a mmo with the potential of this one, but potential means zilch if they don't deliver.

Funny thing is when I first looked at this game I thought 'hell no'
 
Didn't think id enjoy another mmo after wow since that sucked up so much of my college life at the time and I got completely burned out on mmos after that as there pretty time consuming but im really enjoying this and think I might pre order. The problem with mmo's is that you rarely touch other games lol. Your paying a monthly sub so you kinda want to get the most out of it. Think id go on a pvp server too this time for world pvp as I was on a pve server on wow and im liking the pvp in this so far especially as a stalker.

Yes we are hopefully it should be, always hard when the guilds being so inactive due to crappy mmo out right now, but I still think we should end up with around 40/60 players

To clarify for those to lazy to click a link/at work and tis blocked - bascially everytime you log in during either a beta weekend or open beta you'll get a mystery box (one per day) that can have some goodies inside - think GW2 mystery box style items.

Thread has some folks doom mongering thinking this is the start of a ftp style cash shop with xp boost pots etc in, or at the very least its NCSoft marketing putting the feelers out for a cashs hop (which Carbine have said no to) but who knows!
