Wildstar New MMO (NCSoft and Carbine Studios)

Its a good game, be very surprised if it does not do well and gather pace closer to release or once out.

Indeed, I don't think there's any other MMOs out there at the moment that could offer this amount of content at realease, it really does look superb.

When's the next beta weekend, is it this weekend?
Got my Medic up to 17 and loved the class, really felt like a dynamic on-the-fly healer type. May level a warrior next as that'll probably be my alt character when it releases.

The beta weekends are as follows:

◾Friday, March 21st, 7:00AM PDT through Sunday, March 23rd, 11:59PM PDT
◾Friday, April 4th, 7:00AM PDT through Sunday, April 6th, 11:59PM PDT
◾Friday, April 18th, 7:00AM PDT through Sunday, April 20th, 11:59PM PDT
◾Friday, May 2nd, 7:00AM PDT through Sunday, May 4th, 11:59PM PDT

Agree with that, it looks as if they know you cant release with half arsed end game content and a buggy as **** leveling experience....

Looking forward to trying out some pvp next weekend :)

I agree too. It features a ton of content and if theres one mmo worth paying a sub for at the moment its this one.
Just need to decide if im going on a pvp or pve server. Stalker is going to be my main so pvp is probably better as I had so much fun with world pvp the other week on it.

FYI all:

Starting tomorrow, Friday 3/28 at 7:00am PDT (which is 2PM GMT), the servers will be live and the party ain’t stopping until Sunday night! Also, the level 17 cap is gone and is now being replaced with a level 20 cap. My quick math skills tell me that’s an extra 3 levels! This bonus weekend is a way to get more testing time for us, awesome, as well as more game time for all of you who have Pre-ordered, double awesome!

are the beta characters being wiped for release? I know I got in the closed beta so I played enough to know that I will be deffo getting this game!

Just cant wait for release now, I dont know who I want to go with though. Stalker Tank or Medic Healer. I will be doing PvE first but I also do PvP usually with an alt lol.

Yep, standard beta cycle for a new release. Just going to try some pvp between now and release myself. Oh and log in for costumes and the mystery box :)

Also need to decide on class, was all sorted on a little hamster esper, but had some aewsome fun with the spellslinger last weekend :/

Thats alright so Ill just wait until release now, but its taking too long! I might try the spellslinger not sure yet lol what are they like as healers?

They dont seem to be visually great if ya get me

Didnt play in any sort of way as a healer :D Was just dpsing, very reminiscent of a BH in ToR (if you played that), just far more mobile.

By all accounts though they are extremely viable and on a par with the Esper, the beta forums have some good discussions on them judging from the quick look I took just now, at work though so cant link anything (will do so when I get home this evening).

Am I the only one here that had performance issues during the recent beta weekend? I appreciate client optimisation comes last and there's always gonna be framerate drops in busy areas in MMO's but I just couldn't enjoy myself.

I'm running a 4770k with an R9 290. Client seemed to run much better with in-game vsync option off but then I suffered lots of screen tearing and never managed to force vsync with other software. For some reason RadeonPro wasn't applying settings even in 64bit mode.

Is this an issue at my end? Because everyone else seems to be enjoying themselves and jumping on the pre-order bandwagon. I want this game to do well but right now it's holding me off on pre-ordering, yet I seem to be the only one?

I also rolled out a fresh Spellslinger in the last beta and was converted !!

Esper has some great skills but is mostly rooted to the spot whilst making attacks, this does change at higher levels.

Spellslinger with it's instant high mobility seemed to have the same DPS and just play a lot smoother and is now top choice for my main.

Awesome news that the servers are open this weekend :D

they also have the furthest attack range ;)

It ran fairly smoothly for me, apart from some annoying flickering of (particularly) login menu, and then some HUD flickering/artefacts ingame.

I'm running i7 2600K and SLI 2 x 770's, and the problems were there whether SLI was activated or not.

Yeah the client isnt optimised yet (hopefully soon!) but some people have reported that forcing it to run in dx9 instead of 11 gives a smoother gameplay experience if you are having issues.

Was hoping they had patched in the new UI upgrade but they haven't, still it's great to be able to login and try a new class :).
