Wildstar New MMO (NCSoft and Carbine Studios)

I really like the look of this game but I am trying to hold out for the early start as I always hate doing the starter levels again after a beta wipe.

i really don't think the game is going to be much more optimized than it is right now.
Compared to a few months back the game is run sooooo much better. Im maxing it out with render level on 2.0 which is essentially 4k downsampled and im getting anything from 50 fps at the lowest to 100+ at the highest.

A friend of mine said that people who pre-order and create a character in beta get to reserve the name on that server. Sounds unlikely to me, but she’s adamant she read it somewhere official.

Can anyone confirm this?

Yeah at some point you'll be able to reserve names if you've pre ordered the game.

So I tried a spellslinger last night.....rather fun I must say! So now I have narrowed it down to 3 classes I want to do.

Stalker - Tank
Medic - Dps or Heal
Spellslinger - Heal

I pre-ordered it on Friday as well and I cant wait to get back on it. Just so far away from release......or so it seems anyways!

Yeah I've narrowed mine down to;

Stalker - Tank / Mdps
Engineer - Tank / Rdps
Medic - Heal

I really wanted to main a spellslinger but just didn't get on with it as much as those other 3, which was suprising because I'm always the "mage" character.

I think I will prob make one of each class other than Esper though at some point, just dont like it's lack of mobility.

Got to the first adventure last night, really enjoyed it! Ran it 3 or 4 times and gained over 3 levels, quite a boost!

Gonna check out the dungeons next beta weekend :D

I never really got on with the adventures lol I just did the quest and then I was able to do dungeons. My main is a warrior on the beta atm but I have got him to level 23 but I just seem to be getter bored with him.

I know I have tanked a dungeon and my word it was difficult and also really fun at the same time! I think my main is going to be a stalker tank though I will be mainly doing PvE but we like to pick up some arena later on so I think I will get the most out of him.

Like many others here I haven't really sunk much time into the beta as I already know I'm going to play this and don't want to spoil things.

My main concern is getting into a good guild.

Well I've tried every class to around level 7-10 and I never want to see a starter area ever again !!:D!!

It's a toss up between Spellslinger or Esper for release. Esper is the out and out nuker and is mainly rooted to the spot whilst casting spells, however at high level's and they are much more manoeuvrable. I've watched a few duels vs Esper and if played well they melt people.

Didnt get as much done in game as I wanted unfortunately, mothers day and the football put paid to that, but I did decide on the Spellslinger as my main!

The UI is really starting to bug me now too as v2.0 is so much cleaner and intuitive :(

Definitely going to be a Medic, got up to 19 this weekend and loved every minute of it.

Anyone know if they're going to be doing further betas with the new UI? It looks a lot cleaner from the screenshots I've seen so would love to give it a whirl.

Can't believe there's still such a wait before release, I'm itching to begin the game properly! On the other hand I'm glad they're taking their time to fully test the game, I noticed they called for all the level 50s this weekend to give some of the end game content a good run through. Fingers crossed we'll be met with a beatuiful release with no major bugs, nothing worse than rushing a game out to appease the masses and leaving it full of errors.

The new UI will be included in the big April update, but they've yet to put a date on exactly what weekend that update will be live for.
