In your heart
I work in Wilkinsons on a saturday. I must say it has to be the worst job i have ever been in, well the only :p .

I work on the tills, and it gets me soo depressed. Practically every day i work in there i get some **** piece trying to have a pop at me.

The management are absolute ***, they never seem to have enough staff on a saturday when i work, which is the busiest time in the week, which means the staff are pushed to 100% working capacity. They underpay us for the amount of effort we put in.

You wonder why they have such cheap prices too, but then you find out that they employ prisoners to pack and ship there stuff to the stores around the uk, which means the prisoners earn less than £1 a day for 8 hours work.

I think its time for me to get out of the retail sector.

My Local Wilkos is strait accross from work, Ive been in 3 times today, just to see the nioce gal on the check outs. It does look a prity stressful place with all the old people and how busy it is!

Ok, i'll rant at Tesco too...

GET A CONVEYOR BELT THAT WORKS SO I DON'T HAVE TO SHUFFLE SOMEONE'S SHOPPING ACROSS 6FT OF RUBBER FOR 9 HOURS!!

*cough* so yeh thats it...

EDIT: And next Saturday... please DON'T forget that i'm meant to actually have a break! 5 hours straight of "Would you like help with packing?" "Beep.... beep... beep" "Do you collect vouchers for schools?" ..... doesn't do your head much good

Well frankly thats £1 more than they deserve.

I know what you mean about lack of staffing on a saturday though. Its pitiful on the managements part to expect one poor cashier to serve everyone.

But for me the products they have are pretty decent and at decent prices so I will still use the place.

I work on the tills at waitrose, except waitrose treats you really well :) meant to be on tills but I spend all day floating between sections and not doing much work at all, spent about 1 hour 15 minutes on the tills in my 6 hour shift :p

Don't moan about being underpaid then :) Because your clearly being paid more than that. Your 17 part time ***** saturday jobs are a part or life.

Waitrose where I live is bizarre, don't work there but I know someone who does and everyone has to refer to everyone by the second name or call them sir or madame etc.

Working at Co-Op is pretty ***** but I have a decent manager, my god I hate the general public so much

No Swearing. FF.

I used to work at asda as a trolley pusher! I thought it was ok but I didnt have as much customer interaction. I just watched people fight over car park spaces though!!!

Christmas is the worse!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All I can say is that if the staff are so stressed in Wilkos, then their staff training must be excellent as the ladies and gents who work in our nearest one are great. They can never do enough to help, even one guy offering me assistance when it was after his shift had finished.

The Wilkinsons where i live is full of ugly staff, like suprisingly ugly!
Me and my friend used to buy sweets there and 10p packs of crisps (we were like 10 :) ) Its normally always packed to the brim on there on a saturday!
