Thanks mate, I'm reading that thread as we speak(or write rather!). Sorry to hear your Dual Vsta died, but I bet you've got a much better mobo now.Check out

for a long thread about the dual/vsta, also look through this thread where I posted some bios screens with overclock settings

Best I got stable with my e6600 was 2.7ghz using ddr ram and agp graphics, this was reduced to 2.6ghz when I moved to ddr2 and pci-e.
My dual/vsta board died after a blackout some time ago, it was the only pc in the house not wired through a surge protector![]()
Yeah, I'm using ddr2 ram and agp so I wonder what speeds I'll be able to get? As I said earlier I know my way around a PC but have never tampered with any kind of overclocking before as I never really understood how it worked and didn't wanna mess something up. I wouldn't mind giving it a go with this new cpu when I gets here though. I'm guessing 2.7/2.8 I may be able to overclock to based on your results with the same Cpu. I guess we will have to wait and see.
I did download the latest unofficial bios for that board as well which apparently unlocks more bios options, adds support for newer cpus and gpus as well as allows you to run 4 gb of ddr/ddr 2 ram(1x2gb in each slot). I've never flashed a bios before though for the same reasons I've never overclocked and am not sure its worth the risk or not.
