Will gaming be possible with these onboard graphics or not?

Bah, I figured that would be the answer. But a combination of money being tight and the fact I'd have to get them install it themselves when they get it makes it a bit of a mission. I suppose I could link them to a graphics card install video though. Maybe that'll be the best bet.
 
that game should run well on older cards though, so a cheap second hand one would do the job, 4850 would max it out easily IMO as it uses quite an old graphics engine.

Ahh nice, one seems to confirm what we all though though, guess a dedi card is needed :(

Yeah, true that. They live about 3,500 miles away in the States though so I'll have a hunt around and see if I can get a good deal on a cheapish new one. Would cost me as much to pick up a cheap 2nd hand one here and post it probably....or maybe not....hmmm....time to browse the MM :)
