Without reading the long DFI thread does anyone run this setup ?

Also the cpu socket is rotated 90 deg to most boards and will cause the cooler to push warm air either to the top or bottom of the case rather than out of my rear fans, wondering whether this increase in case temp will cause problems.

Should fit, you can also change the retention clip on the cooler itself, to direct it in any direction (well up/down left/right) So aiming it is not a problem

Just whipped my cooler off to have a look and I cant see any possible way the retention clip could be turned 90 degrees. Do you have this cooler ?

I have just fitted this cooler to an Asrock dual.

Yes, you unscrew the plastic flip lever. This allows you to remove the metal "spring" assembly so it can be refitted 90* to where it was.

Just had to do it myself. :)

Ill have another look tomorrow, im in the middle of primeing atm. Going off memory though, the metal assembly seemed to be shaped/fitted to the heat pipes which wouldnt be possible if i had tuned it 90 degrees?

How come you turned yours on an asrock? The original setting seemed fine to me as it pushed the air to the back of the case .

It's just the sprung retainer device that is moved. Actual heatpad/ pipes etc. stay static. Move the clip by 90*......then by definition you move the whole HSF by 90* too you see?

I may of had to move mine as I got it second hand of MM so previous owner may off needed to have moved it in the past. :)

EDIT: Me primeing too at the mo LOL. :D
