Will my Graphics card cut it?

So ive had my trusty 8800gts now since i built my computer but with the release of Alien v Predator and Bad Company 2 coming out, i'm wondering if my card will even run them?

I am looking into getting a 5870 if not and had hoped to get one yesterday but they were all sold out by the time i got home. But just wondered how my current card would fare.

Any help would be great.

Is it the 512mb or 640mb GTS?

My GTS 512mb still runs COD4 MW2 maxed out at 1920x1200. AVP2 will likely be more demanding (and you wouldn't get DX11), but i have a feeling it would handle Bad Company 2. I've got a 5870 in the RMA loop at the moment, but i don't think there's anything out that really pushes it to the max.

..except Crysis, that overrated bundle of joy.

Are you someone that likes to game at ultra settings? What resolution?

1920x1200 Is the resolution i use and yeah i like to play with good settings though cant think of a game where ive managed to play with max settings at all.

I also have two monitors if that makes a difference. I dont use it for gaming but for 3D modelling.

Your graphics card meets the recommended spec so you should ahve no toruble on medium settings!
