will my key work- windows 8 key in bios question

hi there
have a dell laptop which i am reinstalling the operating system to sell on. the key is for 8 and originally came on the machine.
does anyone have a link for windows 8 ISO or will 8.1 one work?

have tried win 10 and it couldn't activate the key

any answers would be appreciated.

Make your own Windows 8.1 iso using the microsoft tool: https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software-download/windows8

Use rweverything portable - click on the ACPI button at the top and click the MSDM tab, the key is in plain text for you to write down. http://rweverything.com/download/
