i have a Dell XPS M1530 which had a 250gb hdd drive in it previously but its died, so it seems an ssd is the way forward, i am wondering whether i will just be able to have an SSD fitted straight into it or will i need an adapter or controller? or do you need more information from me to determine that? if so what and il see if i can find out...
also is it worth going for windows 7 with an SSD as i have read they work better with this OS and being a student i can get one relatively cheap...
and if you wouldnt mind could someone or a few people possibly give me some advice on which would be best value for performance on these...

or if there is better value for money to be had elsewhere then please point me in the right direction as this is the cheapest i seem to have found so far
Thanks!
