Hello there,

Pretty much as the title says, currently got 2x74gb raptors in raid 0 for my windows boot drive and im looking to possibly replace them.

Would I actually see a big difference going down the SSD route and if so what would you recommend, Ive got no idea what the difference is between them all, its a bit confusing.

Cheers,
Ash

An SSD would be at least 50% faster on a SATA2 port. Look at a OCZ vertex2 or a Crucial C300* SSD, and have considerably lower access times as well.

*These are SATA3 if you want their full performance, also the write speeds depend on the capacity, so the 256G one is really fast, the 64G one is not, however they all have the same read speeds.

Yes, it'll be significantly more responsive. I went from Raid0 Raptors to an SSD and it was a big improvement (not to mention MUCH quieter)
