Will there be another Riddick film?

"The new script for the newly dubbed The Chronicles of Riddick: Dead Man Stalking was written by director David Twohy and centers on Riddick -- the most wanted man in the galaxy -- left for dead on a barren alien planet, dealing with "trisons" (three-legged bisons), "mud demons", and two squads of bounty hunters."

Link to an early script review and a look at concept art there too.

sounds great. think both Riddick films are great, would love a third. :)

He stated in an interview that the next riddick film probably wouldn't have the same budget as the last one.

In the end I thought the last one had a pretty good story line for an action film.

Yeah it wasn't the story line that let it down, there was just a few really bad sequences, number 1 being that ridiculous climbing up a mountain faster than the sun rising bit.

As has been said, I do find Mr Diesel very watchable :) pretty much all the films I've seen him in I've enjoyed watching even if there are cringe-worthy scenes. The Riddick films especially being some of my favs.

There's something about his anti-hero role that I find quite intriguing, being fairly renowned throughout the galaxy as a ruthless killer yet he still rises when the occasion calls for it (whether its to keep himself alive, to do something good, unexpected or to just blatantly defy what ever villain happens to be around that much that it turns into a victory lol)

I'm quite looking forward to the next :)

Pitch Black was a better film but Chronicles was a better....experience.

Tbh I'm not sure where I'm going with that. Pitch Black is a better film but I found Chronicles had much deeper lore and the characters and world was better fleshed out.

But tbh Butcher's bay shivved them both into the dust :D
