Will there be any point in me getting a USB3.0 card?

Was thinking of purchaseing that usb3.0 card so i can make my usb external harddrive quicker and my USB humping dog hump faster.

but i want to know will there be any useful devices what will only be USB3.0 ?
If not i wont bother buying.

I wouldn't bother just yet. Wait until it becomes more mainstream, having one now will not make your USB 2.0 devices faster.

you won't need a usb 3 card until you have a usb 3 device.

This basically. If im in the market for a new motherboard I will take it in to consideration when comparing. I wont be going out of my way to get one though.

would have been useful in the last year of uni when I had a whole load of VMs to copy round but now a days I dont do huge file transfers.
