I bought a wiltshire smoked ham/gammon at xmas but was for new year but had to delay the cook of it. Its in the freezer atm.

Just wondering.

How best to cook the thing. Ive done some normal gammon joints in a slow cooker which wasnt bad but this was pricey at about 12 quid for about 2kg joint i think, maybe bit smaller i dunno. Got it from tesco.

I like the normal wiltshire dry cured ham thats sliced usually as i dont like ham that has moisture when i open the packet. So bought this.

Is it ok to do in a slow crock pot cooker? If so how, or is it best other ways. Nothing too fancy like a chef would do just a simple but good way to cook it.

Dont think it has a bone in.

Wiltshire ham is not dry cure, it's a molasses/treacle brined ham. Roasted would be a good way to go take off the skin, mix brown sugar and english mustrad liberally cover, roast, baste, roast and finally eat.
