Win 7 - WMP12 doesn't remember library

I've had Windows 7 installed for a while now and whenever I cold boot I find that WMP 12 has to rebuild the library every time I open it. It's getting really annoying now so I was wondering if anyone knows why it doesn't save it?

I have been having the same problem, though I have also found I have lost albums and lost track information within albums.

No one seems to have an answer here, but do let me know if you find a sollution?

I have the same problem, it's annoying, I think there is a bug somewhere with their implementation of file libraries.

I don't want to use another player as apart from this glitch, WMP's library management is second to none in speed and usability.

I have tried switching off just about all the automatic updating, it still does some updating but the music library seems pretty much all there? I am seeing how this works out.
