Hi,
I am the owner of three computers (2 desktop and 1 lappy). Would it be possible for me to purchase Windows Vista Business and then install it onto all three of my computers without any problems?

Thanks,
Mike

No, this is not possible, because the license for the retail and OEM versions of Vista are single license only.

To enable you to do this you would need a VLK (volume license key), this is the only way.

Thanks for the fast responses!

or buy OEM 3 pack...

how can you possibly think its even a possibility to buy 1 copy and install on 3 separate machines legally?!

Since id be using all three machines at seperate times would that make it legal?

The rules are fairly clear - one copy per PC. Buying 3 OEM copies wouldn't be enormously expensive (relatively speaking)

Why do you suddenly want to upgrade all of three machines anyway? Would there really be any harm in leaving 2 running XP?

No harm at all. Before I bought windows vista I wanted to know how many installations of it were possible. Now that I know I may just leave windows xp running, for me at the moment buying 3 copies of windows vista is an un-necessary cost.

Just to confirm what other people have said: Your licenced on a per device basis and therefore would require 3 separate licences.
