Hi guys,

turned the PC on this morning and it's running a bit slow, as in I double click something and it takes the PC about 5 seconds longer than usual to open whatever I've clicked on.

I had attempted to load add and remove programs, and it had opened but was saying 'please wait while the list is being populated' and then I got an exception message that explorer.exe had crashed due to qdvd.dll

I clicked 'do not report' etc blah blah, and the computer blue screened and restarted itself before I could read the blue screen.

I'm now searching my drives for this qdvd.dll to see what it is part of. oh and tried add and remove programs again and the list has 'populated' but after about 5 mins of loading!!!

Any ideas at all why my PC is suddenly slow? I haven't installed anything last night before the switch off.

EDIT:

qdvd.dll is in my Windows/system32 folder and also Windows/ServicePackFiles/i386

I think it may be time to worry?
