Good afternoon everyone. Its been a while since we purchased our PC from Overclockers, in fact, back in Aug 2015. Still running really well and absolutely no complaints whatso ever. With that, looks like I may need to be looking at a new motherboard, CPU etc as I hear Win11 will not work on the MSI Z97I AC Intel Z97 motherboard due to missing TPM. Its a shame as the PC still runs amazingly well. Just looking for advice really on what is best being done.

My current specs are (Dated I guess now)
"Evolution Envy Mini" Intel Core i7 4790K @ 4.4GHz Nvidia GeForce Gaming PC 1 GX-277-MS MSI GeForce GTX 960 Gaming 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
HD-257-SE Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200RPM SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache
HD-190-SA Samsung 120GB 850 EVO SSD 2.5" SATA 6Gbps 32 Layer 3D V-NAND Solid State Drive (MZ-75E120B/EU MY-177-KS Kingston HyperX 8GB (2x4GB) PC3-19200C11 2400MHz Dual Channel
MS MSI Z97I AC Intel Z97 (Socket 1150) DDR3 Mini ITX Motherboard
SuperFlower Golden Green HX 550W "80 Plus Gold" Power Supply
Intel Core i7-4790K 4.00GHz (Devil's Canyon) Socket LGA1150 Processor - OEM CB-000-FS Akasa

Very best Regards, Mike

You've still got another 4 years of Windows 10 being supported, there's absolutely no need to update to Windows 11 as of right now. By the time Windows 10 is no longer supported your system will be 10 years old so you might well be looking to upgrade by then.

If you really want Windows 11, you can always bypass the requirements needed for it, there's plenty of guidance online.

+1 I’d wait until windows 11 has been out at least a few months before buying any new hardware to run it.

Gives Microsoft a chance to iron out any bugs and make sure the hardware you’re buying supports it fully.

You can buy a TPM module to get the motherboard up to par but there are several reasons why I wouldn't upgrade to Win 11, including reduced performance for certain processors.

I'd still go buy a TPM module to get the system up to scratch but it's not pressing as you can still use Win 10 for another few years.
