Its a legit copy of Win7 64 Homes Premium OEM

Will try whats in that thread...feeling its a joke coming from OSX that simple windows updates can still fail.

Im not interested nor would I risk "asking google" what I post..its why I am a memeber here..for the good trusted information.

I would go to updates....and asked it to install about 4 optional packs..and one large one (working from memory it was about 74mb or so) and was titled Service pack 1...it downloads fine...but then come up with an eorro message saying its failed to install then yoru carried to the usual toubleshooter etc..will have to lok more at it when I get home..this was all last night and abit late to look into it more.

I had this with two machines

Just do all other windows updates, restart, search for new updates

Install

When it's just SP1 left in the list, it should work..

If that fails, then manually download the SP and try that

Hi

Have you ever run CCleaner reg cleaner or Driver Cleaner as they can be a bit too aggressive when cleaning the registry. I had a similar issue and had to do a fresh install.
