My first build after 10 years and I wasn't prepared for the question...

To N or not to N.

...

So looked it up N is without media stuff, media player, Skype, groove music...

I use Skype on occasion, normally use vlc for videos, no idea with music...

Will installing these make things easier or slow down your system? Ie does it install codecs? Etc... I figure I could dl Skype separately...

What do you do?
 
You can install the media pack separately if you need it. I installed N and found out there was a few programs that needed it so had to install it anyway.

The only difference it saves a few hundred MB of space if you don't need it.
