Hello,
Hoping someone can lend some insight. I have a D-Link DSM-510 Medialounge which I use to stream DivX media wirelessly from my PC. Prior to upgrading to Windows 7, the image quality was fine and perfectly watchable.
After upgrading to Windows 7 however, the quality has degraded somewhat and it's almost as if the content is being streamed in a really low bitrate, and I'm not sure what to do about it. If I stream the same media to my Xbox360, the quality is fine and as it should be. Again, if I take the same media, copy it to a USB stick then play it on the D-Link box from the stick the quality is normal.
I can't see any settings in WMP to change how the content is transmitted, and there has been no change in my router settings at all. Another problem I've noticed is that rewinding/fast forwarding on the box is now horribly slow and unresponsive, whereas before it was perfectly fine. I've tried upgrading the firmware on the box, but it's telling me that it is fully up-to-date already.
Has anyone else come across something similar? Apologies if this should be in the AV/Home Cinema forum; at this stage I'm not entirely sure whether it's a Windows problem or a problem with the box.
Cheers
