The following error crops up when I try to install Rollercoaster Tycoon 3. I had an error with Installshield on Vista with this game (though have had no issues before on Vista) and took the opportunity to upgrade. Interestingly, I cannot install Installshield Engine Update 700 or 701

Can anyone help? All I'm getting with google is Windows Update errors. I've deleted all files in Software Distribution and stopped/restarted and downloaded all updates.

Try restarting the installer services? Though I'm not actually sure it would be that. Also what happens when you try and run the installer in compatability mode, or run it as an administrater?

I'd already tried all of those. Posted this on a windows 7 forum and a poster came back with http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947821 which worked.

Now I get installshield has stopped working though :o
