Anyone else waiting on a PDA phone or indeed the iPhone?

I was considering the forthcoming E-ten X500+, which has a nice screen res, but apparently it's a little slow and isn't compatible with my network provider (Virgin Mobile PAYG). There's also the HTC Touch but again I'm not totally convinced this is what I want - I'd be interested in user opinions on this.

iPhone seems more tempting, quite an attractive looking product, has all the features I would want, and seems to sync calendars with Outlook, which is a big bonus.

If you actually intend to go online with a PDA style phone, I wouldn't touch one that does not offer 3g speeds.

I have had an M500 which did not and a Vario2 which does. I only used the online stuff on the m500 infrequently as it was apain. I use the vario2 online every day.

The iPhone doesn't do 3g. I would not even consider it.

I would look at a HTC Kaiser, or perhaps something with no keyboard ( I find my vario 2 just a tad too big).

To be honest, I find browsing the web on my Vario II a bit fiddly.

Its ok for looking up something specific, but I prefer to connect it up to my laptop if I'm out and about, and use it as a modem.

I'm on T-Mobile Web N Walk Plus btw and its awesome so far. :D

Try and get hold of Picsel Browser. It really is an excellent piece of software and makes browsing on PPC superb. Unfortunately, its doesn't support Flash so many websites aren't formatted properly.

Well you wouldn't even be able to do that with the iPhone haha. I've never had a problem browsing and mine was with an e60. I wouldn't say its a solution that i'd use if i had a laptop mind but it was good. It might be something to do with the browser you were using, the s60 FP1 browser is just perfection as it goes :p makes browsing nice and easy :)
