Hi
At the moment i'm using Windows 2003 R2 Standard Edition on a dedicated server i'll be most likely getting rid of soon.
This does everything i need using winrar, sometimes usenet etc, and standard stuff like surfing the web etc.
My question is will Windows Server 2008 R2 distribution, Web Edition do the same for me?
As i'm looking at a new dedicated server which uses Windows Server 2008 R2 distribution, Web Edition.
I read somewhere that Windows Server 2008 R2 distribution, Web Edition doesn't have a desktop but elsewhere it does? and that the only real difference is can't use as many of the Windows Server features, like Active Directory.
Thank you.
