Hi there,
I have an XP machine connected to a printer and I want to share the printer, but if I try to browse the shared files / printers on the machine from any other machine on the network I just get a login box (The standard windows networking 'Connect to XXX machine' box). Now I know there is some way of making it browsable (i.e. so other machines can see the printer) without entering a password, but how?
Also, if I enter the machine's admin username / password into this prompt I still can't access the machine, which I thought was odd.
Machines are all on a workgroup and can otherwise see / communicate / ping each other so it's purely a windows config issue.
Any ideas?
