On the arcade mode it's quite easy even with a 360 pad. Kind of like ace combat but a bit more realistic, would fit the bill for you. Then if you have a stick you can up the realism quite a lot, should you wish.

I'm finding it a blast so far.

Yes, though with many games with activation limits, you can revoke an activation to recover it so you still have 3.
For some bizarre reason, with this game there's a limit to how often you can do that; 9 times.
So, assuming you remember to revoke an activation every time you uninstall, or every time you install a piece of hardware that will trigger an activation check (which is difficult since you don't know which hardware will trigger that), you could have up to 12 installs or reactivations. But it could be as little as 3.

Bought it when it was on offer, almost done dling. Hope it looks good as it does in utube vids. :)
 
Finally got round to trying it just now. Selected default pad and more or less works well with 360 pad. :)

Gfx are amazing i didnt think id see such nice gfx like flight sim style but nicer. :) Well the ground at least.

Flying isnt too bad. Fighting is a little tricky but doable just wish it didnt move so much with the analog sticks but cant be helped i guess.

Duno why but im firing green bullets which is weird lol.

Duno if im in arcade mode as i just did 2 tutorials the first then 3rd (combat). Only thing i changed options wise is controls to pad and switch to minimal hud.

The russian mission in the IL-2 to shoot down the german airlift transports :mad: Most frustrating bunch of toss ever :mad: :mad: took me weeks and one day fluked it. It wasn't hard, just frustratingly unforgiving :(
