Anyone know of any decent repositories for Cyda as updating to this and the new Installer App i've lost loads of apps. e.g. Converter, pianist etc

Doesn't cydia only display compatable apps?

Followed the guides and everything and now I have an iPhone stuck in recovery mode and iTunes wont update it and errors with error code (6). Anyone have any ideas for me of what to try? iPhone is in DFU mode (detected by iTunes but no display on the phone screen).

you should be able to get it out of dfu by holding power and home button for abit i think.

I can get it in and out of DFU but its stuck in Recovery mode where the screen has the iTunes and usb cable logo.

Silly question to most of you I know but as an owner of an 8Gb iPhone 3G with an o2 contract with the legit 2.0.1 firmware, what advantages will WinPwn give me over my current standard setup? Im pretty new to iPhone.

Just the ability to install apps off installer/cydia matey.

Personally i think its worth it for summerboard/winterboard alone.

I can't change wallpapers and the themes aren't changing properly... Booooooo.
Maybe I should keep my iPhone at 1.1.4.

I downgraded back to 1.4 after I did this and I'm much happier, the installer app has loads more apps than cydia, I couldn't get winterboard, summerboard or customize to do pretty much anything when i was on 2.0 and I felt like the only thing I'd gotten was the opportunity to pay for apps in the apple store.

None of those worked. I read around that I had to delete some lockedwallpaper.jpg or something to that effect - did this and it still didn't work.

Winterboard works great on mine, i also used customise for some other tweaks

Mine worked first time, seems a little better compared to 2.0
with the installer app.. its 4.0 beta, anyone have any idea when agile messenger will be out for it? could I get it now if I add the source?
