I'm about two thirds of the way through a re-read, I'm not sure whether I'm going to finish that off or jump straight into Dance. Head obviously says to do the re-read, but I've been waiting for Dance for so long I fear I might not be able to contain myself!
 
I too was nagged to watch this - I thought the pilot episode seemed z-list and acting was questionable.

Having watched it all, it's in my top 3 series of all time. LOVE it.

And the amount of boobs is fantastic.
 
Read the first book, the last 300 pages or so are truly fantastic. The TV show is a really good adaptation, but the books is much better. Not to mention Bronn is way more awesome in the book. :cool:

Started reading A Clash of Kings too.

I sincerely hope Gerard Butler doesn't play Stannis.

I wish the Blu Ray would come out for Christmas but most likely it will be just before Season 2 starts next year. Seems so long to have to wait, however I'm going to have a Game of Thrones day and watch them all back to back with friends who missed out on watching the show as it aired.

EDIT: Oh and as a point of discussion what was everyones favorite episode?

I'd have to go with episode 8 "The Pointy End", the opening few minutes were especially tense and enjoyable. It was also the episode GRRM wrote and it just seemed spot on in every department.

Gutted in a way. I wanted the woman who plays Starbuck in Battlestar to do the role. Though she wasn't tall enough I thought she would have suited the role well.

Though apart from Cersei casting which I didnt like (personal opinion I know a lot do) they had the casting perfect so I'm sure the Brienne casting will work out.
