After just starting a re-read begining with clash of kings Ive only just remember about the whole children of the forest back story. Were these bits of history completely missed in the series, or was I half asleep and missed it??

It's 1 season per book, so it would possibly be included in the next season since Clash Of Kings is book 2.

It's been years since I've read the books, need to re-read them really as I can't remember too many of the little details.

I managed to read book one and two in about a week, couldn't put them down, however i'm really struggling with book 3, it just doesn't have me hooked, I find I don't really care much about what's going on, did anyone else have this problem?

How about if you want to discuss the books you start your own damn thread and leave the rest of us to discuss the tv show in here. Honestly it's not ******* rocket science.

Woah...easy, I just asked a fairly generic question about the books, no spoilers, you're being somewhat melodramatic don't you think!

Would have posted in the GOT book thread but there are spoilers all over the place!

Then start your own thread, there's no limit to the number of threads you are allowed.

A question about book 3 like "I find I don't really care much about what's going on, did anyone else have this problem?" is only going to lead to spoilers, so why not just start your own thread and then you can discuss it fully and this thread can be kept on topic.

Dude as Shami said, its really not rocket science not to leave open-ended questions about the later books in a thread which you KNOW only deals with the TV series and first books. Think about it, mull it over, and use your grey matter even if just once this week.
