right ive got a netgear dg834g router and my computer is connecting to it wirelessly and their is a computer in the other room that was connecting through cable but we decided to connect to wireless

i bought a d-link card and installed everything fine but it just keeps saying it cant connect or find any networks

any idea ?

Check that ssid broadcast is enabled on the router, also that the channel you are using on the router and D-link card are the same.

if the pc is in a room with walls made of plaster board that could be the problem as some plasterboard has metal backing to it which can block the wirelesss signal, i have a similer issue with my wireless setup.

yes im sure their is some plaster board on it its so weird ive sorted all the settings they are all fine!
