You only need to worry if the magistrate drapes a black hanky over their wig :p

"I sentence you to be taken from this place and hanged by the neck until you are dead."

Sorry but this made me laugh - I actually read with the appropriate voice in my head :D

Good luck Stinky!

i got

5 points and a £50 fine.

so i can still drive :) (and still be able to get the job i have a second interview for tommorow :D

Congratulations, perhaps now is the time to start driving like an angel :p

(and i'm not having a go, im certainly not the kind of person who can preach about "perfect" driving and "religious" speed limits!)

Wait, so you got LESS of a fine than say just a normal fixed penalty?

How the **** did they work that out?

No offence ment by the way, I'd be VERY happy with that result. But looking at it from an outsiders view, that fine should have been higher imo. :o

P.S - I know that I am by no means perfect etc ;)

How many times did i tell you you'd be fine ;)
Glad to hear it mate, just dont listen to morons who tell you to go faster next time :p

When you go to court they ask you to fill in a little document asking income / out goings. They take that into consideration before fining you. Some people get £££ whilst some get ££.

Lucky escape.

Better behave now then mate!.. :)

they took into account the fact that i only have £16 a week to myself.

it was £50 + £35 cost. so £85 all in.

i am happy with the result. but defo ont worth the hassle in future. i am sticking to the limit from now on

Thats the most pathetic thing I've ever heard. So the less you earn the less you have to pay?

I was on £250 a month total when I got caught 3 years ago, it was an FPN so no income questions at all.

I think he should have been fined more than that.

yea but then i have paid more with the points.

i could have said that i had more money and asked for a bigger fine.

at the end of the day my total fine was more than yours fox

It's a stupid system. When I was taken go court for a CD10 (which wasn't my fault, long story) I was given a fine of £400. I had to provide a payslip which showed my monthly earnings upon which the fine was determined. A week later a guy from down the road was fined £100 for stealing a car, joyriding it and taking out 2 police cars in the chase that ensued.

Now where is the sense in that?

well at the end of the day they want the payment there an then.

from that form they could see there was no chance i could pay them £400 on the spot. as it asks for savings, earnings, etc. of which i had no savings and all my earnings do on insuring my car and taxing it. its not like i have thousands stashed away and i have just had to pay £50.
