I agree too. It'll just end up with the thread getting locked again. The jibes really don't help this sort of situation at all.

I really don't think there are any anti-Megzy jibes going on here - I think people genuinely do think it's a silly idea. I think Fox summed it up perfect to be honest; I really can't picture a problem at age 16 that'd cause me to leave the country. County, sure - but country?

Then there's the fact that the people who have looked past the whole leaving-the-country-at-16 thing, have already said that the chances of gaining citizenship are next to none without money.

I breezed it. Got far too many points! :p

I don't want to go though.

Same! Might consider it later in life, but there are other countries I would consider before Australia. Not the greatest of countries in terms of my career.

What sort of magnitude of "arse up" are we talking about though? I really can't picture emmigration at such a young age - not saying it's not justifiable - I just can't imagine a justifiable situation :D

I would say a magnitude of 8.5 out of 10. enough to think "Oooo England looks like a good place to start over and see what life is like over there"

No people were killed, physically hurt, and i was not in trouble with the law and did nothing illegal

Edit: and what gilly said :p

You really want to visit, spend a couple of months here first. Its always a grass is greener on the other side issue. :)

Haha, man of my own heart - damn this heat! :( Must say - football in the rain last night was gawgeous!

Zip, that still doesn't help me I'm afraid :p I've been distraut at times, but would never consider up-ing sticks and moving country.

I have family there so its not just about jumping on a plane and all that,

i think if you put this in your OP it would have made all the difference, because you're evidently not just moving out there. you're staying with family until you decide your problems really werent that bad.

That's given me a thought - are your family over there native to Australia? If not, they may be able to help you quite easily - if you're serious about this, that is.
