Jesus Christ!

Best horror film I've seen in ages. Builds the story and makes you like the characters before the big shocks happen. Fantastic baddy, and it really makes you think just how unspeakably nasty it would be to be in a situation such as that.

Anyone else had the "pleasure"?

Agreed, one of the better horror films of recent years.

Extremely shocking and brutal once it get's going, always seems worse when you know it could actually happen.

totally disagree, thought it was a complete utter waste of my money, sadly i bought it believing the hype as i like horror films.

the "baddy" is pathetic, a 3 yr old could outwit it

(slight spoilers)

Not bad, not brilliant. One thing I did like about it was it doesn't follow the route you think it might with regards to plot / character. For example, many movies, horror especially, tend to start 'leaning left' before then making a turn to the left, plot and action wise, preparing you for what's to come and making the story predictable, and therefore boring.

In Wolf Creek I thought, okay, we like these kids, it's all going bad for them, so soon I'm sure the tables will be turned and we get some payback. Oh no. It just gets worse and worse, then ends nastily. It was refreshing to not be railroaded along an obvious horror path.

Really enjoyed it myself. Thought the casting was excellent, and as for the bad guy being a dimwit, yeah right. Certainly wouldn't fancy my chances if I'd been caught by him.

If I had to describe the film in one word I would use 'brutal.'

The opening scene was pathetic and looked like a 7 year old picked up the family video camera. After that, I was thoroughly impressed. It definitely had some nerve stretching moments.

Cause they didn't think much of it or cause it was nerve-wracking?

The only problem I had was that this guy was supposed to be such an expert psycho though 2 out of 3 of his victims escaped of their own accord.

I thought this one was really brutal and uncompromisingly chilling. There is a certain scene (you all know the one) that stayed with me for ages. Can't remember being so scarified by a film.

Ginga

I was a bit disappointed by it too.

If you knew nothing about the film going into it though I can imagine how the turn of events about half way through could be quite shocking. Good effort considering the budget they had.
6/10
