Woman suevives 24 storey hotel fall

Do you think her survival could also partially be due to the car body deforming to absorb the force of impact like crumple zone and hence the energy involved thereby the reactive opposite force/momentum is lower on her body?

I think if she hit the plain road that would have resulted in instant death.

The car definitely saved her.

Same as all the other people who fell from high up and survived. They always landed in - bush, trees, BIG grass field, and now car.

Hit plain old concrete floor = splat.

If it was me i wouldn't be shouting about how i would have died if i was in my metal box. A GIRL fell 23 STOREYS and hit the metal box and lived, yet he would have died... epic loss of man points there.

I once read something about cats falling from buildings having a better chance of survival the higher the floor they fell from. Apparently, it gives them time to get over the shock and relax  their body a bit.
It might just be horsesheet, but seems like a similar theory.

Yup, gives them longer to rotate into the correct position and position their feet properly for impact :)

Not partially no, entirely.

Probably wouldn't have survived had the door been closed either, as it would have added rigidity to the car.
