Much as I hate the look of most old cars.. the Beetle always does it for me.. oh & some of the old mercs as well..
I'm moving to Germany in a few months, going to be hard to resist.

Just because a car is utterly crap, doesn't stop you having fun in it. In fact, some of the most fun cars I've had have been crap ones.

But they're not crap :). Go read up on them, they're one of the most successfully motors going (not just sales wise, they fully fulfilled a strict design brief).

Plus they're DAMN good in a crash (especially considering they're a 60 year old design...)

Go hunt out that seventies Nordschlief vid for proof - every car that rolls gets mangled...Except the beetles which barely deform.

Popularity and sticking to a design brief doesn't make them "good" though does it? :p

Torsion bars up front, plain dangerous swing axle rear, lack of power, refinement, brakes, rust proofing, a decent cooling or heating system...
