Women and make-up

Completely depends on the woman. Generally I prefer minimum makeup (or none) but this only works if the woman has really nice skin. A lot of women don't and it's these ones which can look much much better with just a few **** of makeup. I do agree though that many women go waaaay overboard and end up looking like whores. I've seen some lol-worthy ones using fake tan resulting in a visible line under their chin where the orange skin ends and the pale skin begins rofl. I don't understand why they think that looks good.

A woman who doesn't look better with make-up on needs to be shown how to do it properly. On the other hand wearing make-up all the time is kind of off-putting; it's overly vain.

Oh, and OP: women are way more judgmental of each other than men ever are. I'm surprised this is news to you.

I reckon the follow things apply:
Age (Maturity) - Teens, twenteens always wear far too much of the WRONG colours sometimes it's not even that they cake it on but if you buy the wrong products it can look like it's beem trowelled on.

Taste - Who are their icons? what are their personal preferences if they have one? Jordan?, Angelina Jolie?, Princess Diana you get the drift

Friends (Peer pressure) - are they copycatting? I have a friend who had a dopleganger (Check spelling) YIKES!!! it was bad.

Confidence - How confident are they within them selves? some girls use cosmetics albeit the wrong combination to draw a mask to hide the real self, I did that in my early teens to early twenties. I quickly got fed up of checking if my lipsticks on straight or mascara hasn't ran etc that for a while the only thing I used was foundation to cover spot scars cos I wasn't confident enought to show them.

OK I'll include you, find me pictures of your favourite celebs, actresses, whatever with no makeup on. I'm pretty sure GD has never posted a bare faced girl in its entire history.
This is just blokes being two faced about what they fancy and who they end up going out with.

Would you be surprised that I don't have a favorite actress? or anything for that matter. I don't particularily go looking for pic of those that look good without makeup either, it's just something you notice through life.

Side note; I'd be hard pushed to have a favorite anything, lifes too full of awesome **** to say "that's the best"!.

Personally, I prefer minimalistic or none - but a little does help to bring out the best aspects in some girls.

However, there's always the odd exception.

Plenty of makeup... but done right!
