Women, boyfriends, crap cars and image. Why does this annoy me?

I drive a Yaris, even though i own it 100%, no loan or finance...

Where is that forever alone pic? lol

You could bag yourself a smokin' MILF or GILF with a Yaris mate, there's plenty of hope yet! ;)

(at least you have a car - I have to make do by booking taxis instead of suggesting the night bus!!)

To be honest I also don't understand the op fully :p The guy might have had his car since new, in which case he would have paid something obscene for it. it might be in good condition as well in which case it looks and feels far nicer than most new cars today.

Op doesn't go into details, basically op wants a piece of that muff and is displaying angst :p

So out of those 3 which got you the most attention?

A combination of the E92 M3 and Maserati 4200 as they both had extremely lairy Larini/Eisenmann sports exhausts.

The 911 was a bit more of a risk, since it got me more hatred from other men that i worked with.

As the OP's original statement proves though - It doesn't have to be about spending the most money. It's more about perception and image, and how the person driving the car is thought of by others.

Women use material things a man owns to judge his wealth/successfulness. Although a 318ci doesn't scream wealth at me.

You'll be surprised what a badge does to a woman - a good friend's wife has an E36 318i and suddenly she thinks she's dai yoshihara. she even posts on FB when she hasn't been drifting in it.

Terrible fourbanger? check
autobox? check
open diff? check

What a ***.

Or because it's an e46 318...They don't exactly scream "money" nowadays either

Assuming the owner isn't cutting corners and running it on the cheap, they don't cost that much less to maintain than a 330i and the economy is almost identical.

e46s of various descriptions are bought by all kinds of commoners these days anyway and run to the ground without being cared for. It's a sad sight seeing one too many in such a state.

Then sold later as "drives wicked, want a swop for a soobaru?" on eBay and the like.
