Women calls 999 over snowman theft

Well if someone collects rainwater in barrels then they own that water right? So surely it's the same thing.

Just like if a meteor landed in my garden it would be MY meteor! :D

yeah ok fair enough, but then if someone stole the water from the waterbutt, owner would not ring the police saying collected rainwater has been stolen surely.

i know this might be kinda savage but dear god this country really does need to bring in enforced sterilizations for people as mentally 'tarded as this woman :p
/dons flame proof coat :D

What she made was an object/art (could be worth millions?) out of natural materials that were on her property. Someone stole her literally priceless piece of artwork.

trolling -> partly, but I also think that it really was theft.

"We do have powers to prosecute people for misusing the 999 system, but in this case the woman genuinely thought this was a theft that she should report because she'd used pound coins for the eyes and teaspoons for the arms."

She must have a fine life if she genuinely thinks that a theft of £2 and maybe a couple of quid's worth of teaspoons is a serious emergency requiring an immediate response from the police.

Although for me the most ridiculous non-abusive emergency police call was from the person who called 911 to allege that a dealer ripped her off by $10 when she was buying crack.

Chatham is a **** hole and full of idiots. This does not surprise me.

I used to live in Gillingham, many years ago. Sounds like Chatham hasn't changed. Although Gillingham wasn't exactly renowned for the beauty of its architecture and the erudition of its inhabitants.
