Hi all, I know you will all hate my guts and want me to die after this but I want some input on something...

I currently work for 7.50ph for an agency, 7.50ph and if i don't work i don't get paid so no holidays and no sickness pay, I have 2 children and a wife to look after and i'm 22!!

Now, I have been looking at the chav scum that do nothing all day everyday while i get up and 7am to go to work and come home at 6 and there sitting outside there free homes drinking beer with there mates - Now why don't i just quit work and do exactly what there doing minus the beer, I would be better of in the big scheme of things, I would get my rent paid and free council tax which takes a large chunk of my wages anyway, and then get what ever the state benefit is pw to live on, that would be easy tbh... no petrol for the car, no lunch for work, no need for expensive suits and clothing for work....more money and time to spend with my kids and wife

why do i bother working.....I really am considering claiming benefits, I live in a run down area of Nottingham so what the heck is the point in paying rent and council tax for this and working to pay the rest of my streets bills? why not become part of the community and join them in the big sponge :(

Flame away.....

but is there life better or worse then mine? they CAN sit there all day doing nothing where as i constantly worry about bills and how to pay them...don't look like they have that worry when ever i see them or they would be trying to sort it out....by getting a job

I thought jobseekers allowance was only something like £50 a week? Not sure how that would be enough money to buy food, etc for a whole family, plus you'd probably get bored of daytime TV!!

do you think your the only one in this position?

I go to work full time, college full time have a wife and 2 kids, a dog and 2 rabbits aswell as a mortgage and the rest of it.

There's no way i would give up work to stay at home and claim benefits, stopping in with the wife all day is enough to put me off!!!!!

Might be to personnel but how much do you earn?

I dont understand why people have children so early in life when they cant afford to give them a good life, 22 and 2 kids shocking.

Whats wrong with having kids at 30? build up a good job or go back to collge then have kids.

Because its against my religion to use protection and have an abortion...... ;)

Because when you do that you'll never get back into work when your kids get older demanding more and more from you while you dig yourself into a hole.

I'm 21 and moving into my own paid house next week and I've not even had a full time job that's lasted over a year. In one month I will have because I've been working hard and putting in the effort. I'm now beginning to reap the benefits. I'm still working this minuite in my spare time to keep up with customer demand. But it's all going in the kitty for a new telly in the January sales and all those other material things I want.

You have more chance of getting a job if you're in one. If you wanna do something different. Cut down the hours, claim a bit and get back into education and aim at honing your skills into something else that you want to do and could get paid more doing. The Chav scum won't last forever in their position and it's nothing to be looking up to.

It looks like they get an easy life but thats only because they're comfortable in living in their own ****

The government don't encourage people enough imo.

First off yes you could just do that and have an easy life, but at the end of the day you would be seen as a right LANGUAGE.

Benefits and dole money won't keep your family and housing on its sufficient needs. If you don't have the qualifications go to college or at least a night school. Going to college you would be able to get a bursery to help you with financial needs.

People who just claim benefits and sit on the dole and refuse to work all their life need a few punches.

Honestly, why degrade yourself further and just remain in a small world, when you can better yourself, might not be that fun but at the end of the day you would get a good job and would be able to support your family.

A bit personal but i will give you a straight answer: Not enough!!

But i wouldnt give up my job, other employers want you to have good experience, sitting at home on my fat arse wouldnt really benefit a future employer in anyway.

This country really needs to sort out the benefits because we are being flooded with eastern europeans workers who will work for minimum wage, people on benefits dont know how LUCKY they are to have been born in this country.

Freedom to rob, steal, be a menace, to be a drunk on the street at 9 am, to do nothing to get MONEY.

Definition of my last post.^

£7.50 an hour isn't too bad. I earn quite a bit less than that. Fair enough you have two kids and a wife to look after. But do you really want to live on benefits for the rest of your life. IMO you'd end up having no dignity, and you'd be scraping a living for the rest of your life.

Very true. Benefits should only be for those who have NO other option. It should be a last resort or for those with disabilities that genuinly prevent them from working. It should not simply be seen as another option to working or contributing to society.

Don't get me wrong i have been working hard all my life, I left school at 16 with no GCSE's (family reasons) and have had to prove myself to every single employer since doing so, Maybe it was not the best thing "money wise" to have kids at a young age but i love them both more then any plasma tv or BMW anyday of the week and enjoy spending my money bringing them up but i live on a council street when 95% of the houses are council owned and it just annoys me that i have contend with rip off merchants that try to pay people the least ammount of money which i earn my company over 5k in cash every week for £207 after tax!!!

You work, you have self respect which puts you at least a few rungs up from the pramfaces that live around you.
