World Without End. The sequel to Pillars of Earth. Anyone watching this?

Really Good book..... what is the sequel book like? Is it just a carbon copy of the Pillars of the Earth like some of the reviews say?

It's different enough to merit a read through. True it is similar in theme and scope to the first but a good read nonetheless.

I couldn't get into it as much there seems to be less of a central character and villian of the piece. Of couse Pillars of the Earth is such a classic that any sequel is going to be compared critically. Perhaps I should pick it up again as it was soon after finishing the first that I started the sequel.
